Golden Chick asked us to come up with an eye-catching billboard that would attract customers from the highway. The AD and I wanted the billboards to be distinct in tone (we’ve described these as “the good twin” and “the evil twin”). The client went with “Crispy,” but chose to use “Surrender” as a print ad later on.

What happens when the art directors are busy, but our client needs a new design for a last-minute promotion? After going through a long list of people, the agency asked me to pencil a few ideas. The ask was to come up with a “wicked” version of Golden Chick’s iconic mascot, Clucky. Once Golden Chick chose their favorite illustration, our talented AD stepped in to execute the design.
